Mathew gripped the grass near his hand tightly as he gazed up to the sky high above. Like always, he had no idea where he was or how he got there. The tiny creature took deep breaths as he attempted to gather himself and recover from his previous death. His heart pounded in his little chest as he tried his best to cope with everything that had happened... That, and he needed to figure out what kind of place he was in now...

"Mghn..." Mathew whimpered, looking to the sky as he saw figures flying.

He passed them off as birds, but that was far from the truth. Their forms seemed way different from that of a regular bird. Wings spread out, but with bodies that looked more like ponies. Were they Pegasus? What kind of place was this anyway?

The wind felt normal at least. It blew over his little form as he slowly pushed himself up from the ground... Just as he did so, a massive hoof came overhead and landed just beyond where he was. He gasped out in shock, but had no way to react before the pony's back hoof slid over his tiny form. Time slowed as it had been recently, long enough for his perception to allow him to take in every bit of the underside of this creature's golden shoe. It had some dirt on it, dirt that he would join in the pony's journey now...

His legs popped first, crushing upward like a steamroller as she stepped forward. He felt his intestines force their way up into his chest cavity before his upper body burst like an insignificant little berry beneath her hoof. The resistance wasn't much, but it was enough for the pony who had stepped on him to notice the slight change and react to it.

"Ugh..." Cadance grimaced as she lifted up her back hoof.

She lightly wiggled her hoof to see if there was anything she could do to get it to fall off, but the thing was stuck tight to her shoe. It was probably a small berry or a fruit, so she didn't particularly mind - that's what shoes were for anyway. She wasn't really the type to dwell on such things when there was other business to tend to... A visit!

Mathew's perception of time and space was still in overdrive as she stepped back down. He was still very much alive, just on the verge of death as his body was devastated beneath her. He could feel the broken muscles in his arms and legs involuntarily twitch as the made her way forward. The ground roughly pressed into his body as her weight temporarily shifted back onto him, splattering him deeper into the dirt with each step she took. As she lifted her hoof up, he came with her. It was like a roller coaster ride from hell as gravity threatened to tear him from her shoe, but he never actually fell from her.

Every step she took added more and more dirt to his little body.

Then, she was stopped in her tracks. If she had continued forward, she would have been bowled over by a pink blur that had fallen from seemingly nowhere. Pinky popped up, seemingly unharmed by her fall and quickly began to shout.

"I'm ok!" She yelped, running back toward the direction she came from.

She almost didn't recognize that Cadance was there at all. When she did see her, her already bright smile got even brighter!

"Princess Mi Amore Cadenza!" She squeaked out, bouncing in place. "Yay!"

"What are you doing here?" Twilight said as she ran up toward the two from the distance.

"I was just in the area and thought I would pay you a visit!" She replied happily.

Just as she did, Mathew's body finally gave out beneath her. His skull squished down in a little 'pop' as his little eyes were forced to vacate their sockets. Every organ had flattened out quite well, spreading him evenly against the underside of her hoof's shoe. Even if they did want to figure out what it was that she stepped in a moment prior, it wouldn't matter much. He was already so mixed in with the dirt and debris from just a few steps that he just resembled a little brown splotch of dirt mixed with a blue tuft of dirty fuzz...

He was destined to be smeared into oblivion by an unaware Princess~
