Skylar got to the car first, courteously opening the passenger side door for Cici to have a seat. The two girls were both famished and exhausted from their long hike around the city, with their next stop being a place to eat in town. 'Where' hadn't been decided yet, though Sky had a few ideas of her own as to where the two could eat. She knew it was possible that Mathew had survived the ordeal up until this point, so she wanted to ensure that he had been properly ground down through their long day. Her assumption was accurate, though Mat's little body had begun to slip down underneath Cici's foot during the walk, he hadn't been forced far enough under her sock to have been flattened. He was dangerously close though, a single wrong move and he would be under the crushing block. While he wasn't literally being cooked yet, he felt like it. His own sweat was unable to serve it's purpose in the impossibly humid atmosphere Cici's Mary Janes provided. It sapped him of all his energy, and the crippling pleasure he was enduring only served to compound his mobility problems.

"Hungry?" Skylar asked as she sat down in the driver's seat, slipping the key into the car's ignition.

"Famished... Any place to get something nice to eat?" Cici asked, walking back toward Sky's car.

"Finley's is nearby on Columbia - They have some really awesome ribs and other food." Sky replied, getting a nod from Cici.

"Any nice Vegetarian dishes?" She asked, "I don't mind if you eat that stuff, I'd just rather not."

"Awesome salads and soups, plenty of choices there. Wanna go?"

"Sure." Cici replied happily.

They had arrived before the dinner rush, which helped the two get into the restaurant without having to wait behind two or three large parties. The food was amazing - Skylar got her usual half-rack of baby-back ribs with a side of mashed potatoes and corn, while Cici got a large salad and partook in the amazing loaves of bread they baked right there at the restaurant. Small wheat and white bread loaves were served on a flat wooden cutting board with two small black cups of whipped butter, and Skylar was quite adept at cutting the bread without crushing it. Skylar was only one year away from the drinking age of 21 now, and Cici was a year older.

With her legs crossed under the table, Cici idly bobbed her foot up and down with Mathew trapped inside. She didn't feel it since her feet were still quite overly hot, but the constant shaking and bobbing of her foot had dislodged Mathew from his safe spot beneath her toes. He slowly slid down, his arousal dragging along the sweat-soaked fabric with each motion her foot made until he was tucked against the ball of her foot beneath her big toe. There wasn't any more space for him to slide into at that point, his head was pinned facing down as his tiny legs pointed up toward her great toe.

"There was this really neat old movie a while ago, I haven't seen it in ages." Skylar said as she licked some barbecue sauce from her fingertips, "Honey I Shrunk The Kids."

"Shrunk the kids?" Cici said quizzically, "That sounds like it'd be terrifying. How small?"

"They were tiny... You haven't seen it?" Sky asked, "Not gonna lie... I was actually hoping someone would step on one and make it more interesting."

"That's terrible..." Cici said, popping a tiny cherry tomato into her mouth and chewing it up.

"You act as though you don't know me?" Sky replied with a chuckle, "I always loved the idea of someone tiny crushing to death under my feet. If I ever dated someone from around here, I'd probably want them to like that kind of stuff too."

"That's a strange prerequisite." Cici replied with a chuckle, "Hypothetically, if someone were shrunken around me, I doubt I'd even think to crush them."

With that, Cici swapped her feet. The foot Mathew was under slipped down to the ground as her left foot crossed over her leg and began to bob. Most of her weight was on her heel, but the pressure made it extremely difficult for Mathew to breathe. The only thing saving him from crushing beneath Cici's sock right then and there was the fact that her toes were up on the table's supports a bit. Were it not for that, he would have been flattened out right then and there.

"Would you do it for a lover?" Sky asked curiously, tilting her head a bit.

"It's bad karma to kill people..."

"What if they came back after you crushed them? And what if they wanted to be stepped on?" Sky asked again, taking a sip of her coke.

"If nobody actually got killed in the end... Maybe... Whoever she is would have to be a really amazing person for me to be OK with that, and I wouldn't do it for the little one's sake... I'll go with a firm 'Maybe', but since this is something that can't actually happen..."

'She' rang in Skylar's ears when Cici spoke of a potential lover, which brought a fairly bright smile to her face and a blush under her freckled cheeks. Cici didn't notice either of those two changes as she enjoyed her salad and the wonderful bread that was provided to her. When the two finished up their meal, Skylar paid via debit card and the two had white Styrofoam boxes to take the remainder of their food home with them. Cici's foot remained propped up on the table's leg until the very end, when she slid her feet out from beneath the table and stood up. Mathew's body couldn't take the pressure, his little bones creaked from the pressure as he flattened out almost immediately. The tiny 'Pop' under Cici's sole went entirely unnoticed in her flats, his blood mixing with the already sweat-soaked fabric of her sock causing no real difference in the dampness within her footwear.

As she shifted her weight in her shoe, Mathew's body crushed down more. He could hear every bit of it, feel her sweat mixing with his blood and crushed organs as his soul clung effortlessly to what should have been simply a flattened corpse.

"There's a Blockbuster down the street from here. We can see if they have any of the movies." Sky said with a smile as the two began to walk out of the building with their food in tow.

"Sounds good to me." Cici replied contentedly. Mathew's little body felt her full weight as she walked, the ball of her foot relentlessly smashing his little form into the insole as they walked past the air-tank that was once used to fill balloons for patrons after their meals.

Inside of Blockbuster, the store seemed to be slowly dying. Netflix and Redbox had been draining the life from the store for years already, and this one had seen far better days. Skylar still enjoyed going out to rent the occasional movie from the store however, enjoying the feeling of renting from a business like that ever since she was a kid in the rental store begging her parents to rent the newest and best Nintendo 64 game from the shelves. It wouldn't be much longer before the store would close its doors for good though, and in it's stead would be video streaming online and the occasional Family Video store around Battle Creek.

"Got it?" Cici asked as she stood in the isle near the clerk's desk.

Skylar was returning to her friend with two videos, 'Honey I Shrunk the Kids' and 'The Indian in the Cupboard.' The two left shortly thereafter for Sky's home, pulling into the driveway right as the sun was setting on the horizon. Skylar was first to enter her home, unlocking the door and holding it open for Cici as she walked in with her Mary Janes still on her feet. The two went to the couch, Cici setting the two VHS cases down next to her as she crossed her legs to begin removing her shoes. Skylar smirked as she watched her friend's feet slowly emerge from the death chamber, and to her extreme satisfaction, she saw Mathew's little body pasted to Cici's white sock...

Cici never knew...

After the movies were finished, she simply slipped her flats back onto her feet to return home. Mathew's corpse was discarded inside of her Mary Janes, the only thing remaining on the fabric was a strange discolored stain that vaguely resembled blood. Throughout the next few weeks, his tortured little soul lingered there...

Smearing into paste as she walked...

Slowly disappearing, until his soul was released...
