The pulsing sound of techno music rattled his entire form as patrons of the dance club slid around through the night. Hundreds of creatures of various races were all around, but not a single one cared for what was trodden below. Mathew ran, the deep music throwing him off balance with each and every reverberating pulse. He stumbled, slowing just as the heel of a boot landed in his path. Like running face-first into the wall, Mat coughed and fell to his back. All he could smell was sweat, sometimes the sweet smell of a drink spilled on the ground. The boot's heel lifted with trash stuck to it, a reminder of what he could have been had he not stumbled - Just another crushed bit of debris in the tread of someone's boot.

He didn't get up...

His legs betrayed him, pleasure radiated through his body, keeping him rooted to the floor as he stared up to the giants dancing without a care in the world. Disoriented, he had no idea if he was heading out of the crowd, or deeper into danger. Glowing paws filled his vision as someone moved over his spot, dancing with a smooth grace the others lacked. Like in a trance, the tiny floor mite watched the fur from her blue ankles as her paws landed around him. Even through the music he could hear her paws lifting and hitting the ground, soft pats and stamps that echoed through his tiny soul. There was a smell of sweat too. She had obviously been here for a while, but the way he saw it - there was no hope for anyone noticing him. He was simply trash to be trodden underpaw...

Astraya was lost in the music, a smile permanently affixed to her face as she enjoyed the night. With how much alcohol she had, most would hardly be able to stand upright. For her? There wasn't a single bit of care in the world for anything other than the moment. As her paw landed, she felt something beneath her tacky pad just for a moment near the side. It was soft, resisting before it crunched down as she shifted her weight onto it.

On a normal night such a sensation might be cause for alarm, for her to check what she stepped on, but now the sensation was a fleeting afterthought. It stuck to her skin like gum, but after a few more stomps and twists in her dance, it all but disappeared. Ground so deeply into her paw's pad it no longer registered.

Time slowed again.

Mathew watched as her paw lifted over him, just barely leaving the floor. The glowing skin came down like a blanket, sticky from the mixed drinks she's been dancing on throughout the night. Soft paw turned rock hard in an instant. His skeletal structure kept him together for only a fleeting second before the weight became too much, and everything collapsed at once. He felt it again, intense pain from being crushed. Still alive as her paw lifted, Mathew saw the dancefloor lights flash by. Through the searing mix of pain and agonizing pleasure, he saw his flattened arm fold back. G-forces from her paw roaring through the air threatened to tear him from her skin.

Squelch...

Darkness. He was simply a speck of trash on her paw, the alcohol keeping her from truly feeling any person-like form beneath her pad. He was still barely alive as she lifted her paw, but too far gone to really take in any meaningful sensation. It wasn't long before the cold embrace of death took him, his body being destroyed more and more with every second on the dance floor...

A shame - Astraya was a kind-hearted soul. Had she found him in-tact, she would have given him aid. But instead, he's a speck on her ever-glowing sole, to be walked off like dirt by the end of the night and spread throughout the dance floor.
