Keep informed about what's happening in the world of Transient!

What Is Lotessagrad?

Updated: Jul 5

I'm working on a Text Adventure game in the Quest game engine. Mikurei is doing character art, and Spelledeg is doing death sketches over time.

It is going to be a fully interactive Transient game. If you like my stories, think that, but YOU control Mat and what he does. I'm writing Mat to be a bit ambiguous in gender so you'll be able to put yourself in the character more easily.

It's based in Lotessagrad, the Floating City of Splendor. The world is basically... Think fantasy TTRPG with Tieflings, Firbolgs, Anything that WotC doesn't actually own and aren't part of WotC's "Corporate Identity." NOW, Take that concept of old school TTRPG, and smash it with Cyberpunk. Modern tech, old world and characters who were born in the old fantasy genre type world, who are now comfortably living in a Cyberpunk reality.

Okay. As for the actual setting.

You start out in a small outpost for Bulwark Private Contractors. These are adventurers who have finished their own quest and organized to protect Lotessagrad from supernatural incursions.

This outpost is connected to an Abbey, so... Cyberpunk Nuns and Monks and a big cathedral and such.

In their religion, akin to prayer, is killing and using humans. You'll figure out more about why as the game progresses. All humans are 1inch tall (2.5cm). The Abbey is mostly hostile to you. There will be LOADS of ways to die (Not even done with the first room and I already have 53).

Now. A BIG part of this game, is the concept that you are there for the NPCs enjoyment. "You pick the situations you will get in. They will decide your fate." You're just the human after all, they're the ones using you when you're spotted and seen.

Don't worry, I will be including a full document about each death and how to get it.

The goal of the game overall is to find the reason you're stuck in this place and escape. The secondary goal is to use your deaths to make other people's lives better.

The deaths will be graphic. If you know my work, you probably know that.

What kind of deaths? All sorts, but mostly the kind I like personally and other weird stuff. So, I need to keep motivation in the project. The best way for me to do that is only write things I enjoy personally. Hope you understand!

By all means, PLEASE make suggestions! I can't guarantee even for the highest tier that they'll become part of the game, but if I like it, even if it's not EXACTLY for me, if I can squeeze joy out of writing it, it'll probably make it in.

"Being a Human" simulator in a world where being a human means you're smol and squishable.

MECHANICS

Worship feet, hands, etc. to gather affection for any and all NPCs depending on what that NPC enjoys, once you've got enough, experience their Affection Ending (Give yourself to them as a pet) and get a memento from them for your life together.

Deaths are rewards: Deaths gather both Anima and Affection. You'll always get one of the two, so even if you get a death you don't like, you still get that stuff.

Hidden vs Known Mechanic: Basic stealth, easy to get out of sight. Basically, does an NPC know exactly where you are and what you're doing. This effects deaths in certain areas. Example: You jump in a shoe, hidden. Unaware death in shoe until they feel you in there. Known: They tease the fuck out of you before you die. That sorta stuff. Breaking Hidden means getting to cover and going elsewhere, shouting can alert people to your presence.

Stats tracked via the Affection Sigil for NPCs you've met. How many times you've worshiped them, how many times they've killed you overall, stuff like that.

Death CGs: These will filter in over time based on the deaths number. Death 1, 2, 3, and 4 should at least have their CGs before release. These are sketches, since I'm going to need like... Hopefully thousands of them later on.

Storyline with multiple endings planned. Outside of the Affection Endings, there are actual endings planned for the games story. These won't be implemented for like, a long time since I'm going to be building this game room by room.

Future Rewards: Have a quick NPC cameo in the game! There's going to be a way to try and leave to go into the greater city of Lotessagrad and each way will have like, 3 or 4 different NPC deaths. This is a possible reward idea for future support tiers on SubscribeStar or Patreon.

Future game mechanics: A spa in the gardens of the Abbey where you can earn money for the Abbey by selling yourself and worship services. NPCs here may also be higher reward tier ones. I'll announce when it's ready and if I am actually going to go that route with these tiers. It's likely, but I don't wanna tie my hands to something I'm not going to enjoy.

Anyway. That's the basic concept.

SubscribeStar is the preferred way to support me. It's far more stable than Patreon since I'm on their Adult Content side. We'll see how well that goes in the long run. However, both should have the same basic reward structure:

Lv1 - Devout Follower

Tier 1 Support - You like what I do, and want to help out!

  • Name in the "Supporters" section of the Affection Sigil in Lotessagrad

  • DevBlogs & Updates When Available

  • Discord access - Devout Follower Role!

Lv2 - Loyal Citizen

Welcome, Loyal Citizen of Lotessagrad~ Early WIP Access Tier

  • Tier 2 Support - WIP Access

  • WIP Versions of Lotessagrad in between major free updates as they become available~

  • "Tiny Survivor" Discord Role

  • Names in the Supporters list in Lotessagrad can be linked to socials!

(Only official sites allowed for security reasons, reserve the right to refuse if uncomfortable with the site in question.)

Lv3 - Folk Hero

Slayer of Ancient Gods, Gracing Lotessagrad with your presence~

  • Tier 3 Support - You REALLY believe in what I do!

  • Poll Access - Decide which room will be made next.

  • "Folk Hero" Discord Role & Supporters List

All rooms will be made eventually, but if there's a specific room you want to see done first, here is where you'll be able to see it. If the result here differs from that on SubscribeStar, I will roll an actual D20 and post the result to decide which room gets first dibs. The second room will be next on the list!

IF YOU WERE WONDERING

FULL ROOM updates will be 100% free to the public. Once a room is done, I'll release an update to everyone. They will be available here on the AnirusFere website under Games.

Mini updates are builds where I've hemmed in areas that may not have all the mechanics of a room complete. They're the stepping stones to getting between full room updates. Those are going to be available on SubscribeStar and Patreon, likely twice a month to once every other month depending on how hectic my life is at present.

Hope you enjoyed reading.

And hope you're stoked for Lotessagrad! I'm having a blast making it.
