Anirus wandered the open floor of Alexis' room for a while. Alone and unable to escape through the closed door, the little one simply walked over to the nearest soft object. It was a warm, stale sock. The smell of foot sweat and leather permiated his tiny body as he cuddled into it, burrowing inside as time passed him by.

The little one marinated in Alexis' foul sock smell for what seemed like hours before he heard the elven woman's footsteps coming into her room. Alexis was in a hurry, and he had no time to escape. She crouched, taking the nearest pair of socks as she slid her boots nearby. She slipped them on, feeling a strange something in one. But she didn't have time to worry about that now. She grumbled to herself and shoved her boots on, tying up the laces and running out the door. The strange lump crunched, flattened, and after a few hours of her day, was nowhere to be felt...
